  • Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments, functional assessments, interventions, and evidence-based treatment planning.
  • Undertake structured initial assessments, interpret referrals, and identify occupational strengths, barriers, risks, and therapeutic goals.
  • Develop person-centred treatment plans in partnership with patients, carers, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions across inpatient and community settings, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the Occupational Therapy service, ensuring effective workload management and service delivery.
  • Support service planning, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives in line with Trust priorities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior Occupational Therapists, therapy assistants, and support staff through regular supervision and reflective practice.
  • Promote safe, effective, and professional practice in accordance with HCPC standards, Trust policies, and Occupational Therapy professional guidance.
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement projects, clinical governance activities, and the development of innovative Occupational Therapy services.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and external partner agencies.
  • Support safeguarding processes, risk management, and the delivery of safe therapeutic interventions for individuals with complex mental health, learning disability, and forensic presentations.
  • Participate in continuing professional development (CPD), appraisal processes, and ongoing service evaluation.
