Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity within a high-end elderly care home in Bracknell, Berkshire. This is a unique opportunity to work as the sole Physiotherapist, delivering high-quality rehabilitation and mobility support to elderly residents in a premium residential care environment.

You will manage your own caseload, providing personalised assessment and treatment programmes that promote independence, improve mobility, reduce the risk of falls, and enhance residents’ overall quality of life. The role offers flexibility, with clinical documentation able to be completed remotely where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload of elderly residents within a high-end care home.
• Complete comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to identify mobility, strength, balance, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes to maximise independence and functional ability.
• Provide rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery, injury, illness, or age-related conditions.
• Assess and implement falls prevention strategies and mobility programmes.
• Prescribe and review mobility aids and exercise programmes where appropriate.
• Work closely with care home staff to ensure safe manual handling and mobility support for residents.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment plans, with the flexibility to complete documentation remotely when required.
• Deliver approximately eight resident appointments per day, with 30-minute treatment sessions.
• Promote person-centred care that supports residents’ wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.

About You

You will be a HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with extensive experience working with older adults and orthopaedic rehabilitation. You will be confident working autonomously as the sole Physiotherapist, managing your own workload while delivering high standards of evidence-based care.

You will possess excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills, together with a compassionate and person-centred approach to supporting elderly residents.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Extensive experience working with elderly patients.
• Strong orthopaedic rehabilitation experience.
• Ability to work independently as the sole Physiotherapist.
• Excellent assessment, rehabilitation, and treatment planning skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy.
