Based at East Surrey Hospital, part of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, these vacancies offer the opportunity to work across a range of specialist acute services, including Neurology, Surgical, Front Door, and Intensive Care (ICU).

These are excellent opportunities for experienced Occupational Therapists looking to work within a busy acute NHS environment. Successful candidates will provide specialist assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary support, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes while ensuring safe and timely transitions of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive functional, cognitive, and environmental assessments for patients with complex needs.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes that maximise independence and recovery.
  • Lead complex discharge planning to facilitate safe and timely hospital discharge.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including medical, nursing, therapy, and social care colleagues.

  • Assess and manage clinical risk while delivering high-quality, patient-centred interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.

About You

You will be an experienced HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a strong background in acute NHS services. You will be confident managing complex caseloads, working autonomously, and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient-centred care.
