Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity within Shropshire NHS. Working across the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin area with Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, this community-based role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality physiotherapy services across a varied patient caseload.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist with a broad general background and respiratory physiotherapy experience. You will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment, supporting patients with a range of rehabilitation needs while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessments and treatment for adults across community settings.
• Manage a varied caseload, delivering evidence-based rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual needs.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with a wide range of physical and respiratory conditions.
• Apply specialist respiratory physiotherapy techniques where clinically appropriate.
• Develop person-centred treatment plans that promote recovery, independence, and improved functional outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, GPs, nurses, therapists, and community services.
• Provide education, advice, and support to patients, families, and carers.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.
• Travel across the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin area to deliver community-based physiotherapy services.
• Contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality community rehabilitation services.

About You

You will be an experienced HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with a broad general physiotherapy background and proven respiratory physiotherapy experience. You will be confident working autonomously within community settings while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will possess excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills, together with the flexibility to travel throughout the local area to meet service needs.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Relevant UK NHS Physiotherapy experience.
• Broad general physiotherapy background (essential).
• Respiratory physiotherapy skills and experience (essential).
• Strong assessment, rehabilitation, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
