Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity within Surrey NHS. Based in Farnham, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, this role supports the Older People and Integrated Care service, delivering high-quality inpatient rehabilitation and ward-based therapy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist with inpatient rehabilitation experience who is passionate about helping older adults regain mobility, maximise independence, and achieve positive rehabilitation outcomes. You will manage your own ward-based caseload while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for older adults within an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Manage an independent ward-based caseload, prioritising patients according to clinical need.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes that promote mobility, function, and independence.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and formulate individualised treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Medical staff, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring safe and timely transitions from hospital.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt rehabilitation programmes to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide advice and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.
- Support the delivery of high-quality Older People and Integrated Care services.
About You
You will be an experienced HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with a strong background in inpatient rehabilitation and acute or intermediate care services. You will be confident managing your own ward-based caseload and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality rehabilitation.
You will possess excellent assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills, together with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, person-centred care.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Relevant UK NHS Physiotherapy experience.
- Experience working within inpatient rehabilitation services.
- Experience independently managing a ward-based caseload.
- Strong rehabilitation, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
