Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist for flexible locum shifts within Hertfordshire. Based at Stagenhoe Park, operated by Brainkind, this role offers the opportunity to provide specialist Occupational Therapy services within a neurological rehabilitation setting, supporting individuals with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking flexible shift work while making a meaningful difference to people requiring specialist rehabilitation. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering person-centred interventions that maximise independence, improve functional outcomes, and enhance quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for individuals with complex neurological rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement person-centred treatment plans that promote independence and functional recovery.
• Assess functional abilities, cognitive skills, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions, equipment, and environmental adaptations where required.
• Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, nursing staff, psychologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support service users to achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals through evidence-based practice.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues while contributing to high standards of clinical practice.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care in accordance with HCPC standards.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong clinical skills and the ability to work confidently within a rehabilitation environment. You will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care while working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role would particularly suit Occupational Therapists with experience in neurological rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, or complex physical disability services.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within rehabilitation or complex care settings.
• Excellent assessment, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in neurological rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, or similar specialist services is desirable.
