Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist for flexible locum shifts within Brainkind at Stagenhoe Park. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation service, providing high-quality Occupational Therapy interventions to adults with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver specialist assessment, rehabilitation, and treatment to support individuals in maximising their independence, functional ability, and quality of life. This role is ideal for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in neurological rehabilitation who is looking for flexible shift work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for adults with complex neurological conditions.
• Develop and implement person-centred rehabilitation programmes to maximise independence and functional outcomes.
• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, perceptual, and psychosocial needs.
• Recommend appropriate equipment, environmental adaptations, and therapeutic interventions.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals and discharge planning where appropriate.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as required.
• Provide advice and education to patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and organisational standards.
• Contribute to delivering a safe, effective, and high-quality Occupational Therapy service.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with excellent clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously within a specialist rehabilitation environment. You will be passionate about supporting people with complex neurological conditions to achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.

Experience within neurological rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, or complex rehabilitation settings would be highly advantageous.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within rehabilitation or complex care settings.
• Experience in neurological rehabilitation or acquired brain injury services is desirable.
• Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and rehabilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred, evidence-based care.
