Reablement Worker (3 Roles)

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting three Reablement Workers for locum opportunities within North London Social Services. Based with Enfield Council, these roles will provide essential cover for existing vacancies while permanent recruitment is underway.

This is a rewarding, reablement-focused position supporting adults in their own homes following illness, injury, or hospital discharge. Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Assistant Occupational Therapists, and the wider Reablement Team, you will help individuals regain confidence, rebuild daily living skills, and maximise their independence through short-term, outcome-focused support.

The service is designed to promote recovery and independence rather than provide long-term care. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting people to achieve their goals and return to, or work towards, their previous level of independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide short-term reablement support to adults within their own homes.
  • Assist individuals following illness, injury, or hospital discharge to regain independence and confidence.
  • Support service users with personal care and daily living activities in a way that promotes independence.
  • Work towards agreed reablement goals and outcomes as part of individual support plans.
  • Encourage service users to develop and maintain skills rather than creating dependency.
  • Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Assistant Occupational Therapists, and other professionals.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback on outcomes achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with service requirements.
  • Respond flexibly to changing service demands and individual needs.
  • Promote dignity, wellbeing, choice, and person-centred practice at all times.

About You

You will have experience supporting adults within community or domiciliary care settings and be passionate about helping people regain independence and achieve positive outcomes.

You will understand the principles of reablement and be able to motivate and encourage individuals to build confidence and develop practical daily living skills. You will be flexible, reliable, and comfortable working independently within the community.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting adults in their own homes.
  • Experience providing personal care and support with daily living activities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car or suitable vehicle for travel.
  • Understanding of reablement and independence-focused support.
  • Ability to work flexibly across rota patterns and changing service demands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Care Certificate or Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Care desirable.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centred care and positive outcomes.

Available Rotas

  • Cluster 1: 20 hours over a 2-week rota. Week 1: Monday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Tuesday and Friday. Shifts 17:00 – 21:00.
  • Cluster 2: 36 hours over a 2-week rota. Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Shifts 17:00 – 21:00.
  • Cluster 3: 8 hours per week. Week 1: Monday and Thursday. Week 2: Tuesday and Friday. Shifts 17:00 – 21:00.
