Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 7 Occupational Therapist for a locum role within Surrey NHS. This position is based at Wexham Park Hospital and offers an opportunity to work within a busy acute hospital environment, supporting patients through assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning, and recovery.

The Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services, managing complex caseloads and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for adult patients.
• Manage a varied and complex caseload within an acute hospital setting.
• Support rehabilitation, recovery, and discharge planning pathways.
• Develop and implement person-centred treatment plans.
• Assess functional abilities and identify strategies to maximise independence.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Provide advice, recommendations, and support to patients, families, and carers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
• Contribute to service delivery and support high-quality patient outcomes.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong clinical skills and a 
background in acute hospital or rehabilitation services. You will demonstrate excellent 
clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational abilities.

You will be confident managing complex caseloads, working autonomously, and contributing positively to 
multidisciplinary team working within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within NHS services.
• Experience within acute hospital or rehabilitation settings desirable.
• Strong assessment, discharge planning, and rehabilitation skills.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working abilities.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
