Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting two Occupational Therapists for locum roles within West London Social Services. These positions sit within the Complex Occupational Therapy Team, supporting adults with complex physical, neurological, psychological, behavioural, and age-related conditions.
The Occupational Therapists will manage complex community-based caseloads, undertake comprehensive assessments, and provide specialist advice and interventions to support independence, safety, and wellbeing. The roles also involve mentoring and supporting unqualified staff within the Occupational Therapy Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a clinical caseload of individuals with complex and multiple pathologies.
- Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within community settings.
- Assess and advise residents on all aspects of daily living and independent functioning.
- Provide recommendations for equipment, adaptations, and support strategies.
- Support individuals with physical, neurological, psychological, emotional, behavioural, social, and age-related needs.
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and leadership to unqualified staff within the team.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with professional and local authority standards.
- Work within relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 and associated disability and housing legislation.
About You
You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in
adult social care and complex community caseload management. You will demonstrate excellent
clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously with individuals presenting with complex needs.
You will have strong knowledge of relevant social care legislation and experience supporting independence
through person-centred assessment, intervention, and multidisciplinary working.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Experience working within adult social care or community occupational therapy services.
- Experience managing complex caseloads.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014.
- Experience supporting equipment provision and adaptations desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to mentor and support junior or unqualified staff.
