Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Yorkshire NHS. This position offers the opportunity to work within community healthcare services, supporting patients through rehabilitation, assessment, and therapy interventions.

The Occupational Therapist will contribute to delivering high-quality patient-centred care, supporting individuals to maximise independence, improve functional outcomes, and remain safely within their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions within community healthcare services.
• Support rehabilitation and independence-focused treatment programmes.
• Manage a varied caseload within multidisciplinary team settings.
• Develop and implement person-centred therapy and rehabilitation plans.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and partner services.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Support patients to maximise independence and improve functional ability.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with relevant 
UK NHS experience. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability 
to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

You will be organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation and therapy 
services within community healthcare environments.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Relevant UK NHS experience (essential).
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Role: Occupational Therapist – Band 6
• Sector: West Yorkshire NHS
• Contract Type: Locum
• Contract Length: 4 months initially
• Salary: Negotiable
