Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Physiotherapist for a locum role within Surrey NHS. This position is based at East Surrey Hospital and will support ward capacity pressures, including ward moves and additional bed coverage.
The Physiotherapist will work within acute hospital services, supporting patients through assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning to promote recovery, mobility, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment within acute hospital wards.
- Support rehabilitation and mobility for medical and elderly care patients.
- Assist with discharge planning and safe patient flow across wards.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care.
- Manage caseloads effectively within a fast-paced acute environment.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- Support patients to maximise functional independence and recovery.
About You
You will be a qualified Physiotherapist with experience working within acute medical or care of the elderly services. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work effectively within busy hospital environments.
You will be adaptable, organised, and confident supporting rehabilitation and discharge planning within multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience within acute medical physiotherapy or care of the elderly services.
- Ability to manage caseloads within a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
