Tripod Partners are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist for a locum role within West Midlands Social Services. This position sits within an Equipment and Adaptations Team, supporting both adults and children to live safely and independently within their homes.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will undertake assessments, recommend equipment and adaptations, and support individuals with a range of needs. The role involves applying specialist occupational therapy knowledge within a fieldwork setting, contributing to person-centred care and improved outcomes across the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments for adults and children within the community.
• Assess needs and recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations.
• Support the provision and implementation of equipment to promote independence and safety.
• Manage a caseload and deliver person-centred interventions.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using systems such as Eclipse or similar.
• Provide professional advice and guidance within the service.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in 
equipment provision and adaptations within social care services. You will demonstrate 
strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.

You will be confident working in a fieldwork role, supporting individuals across the community and 
collaborating with colleagues to deliver effective, outcome-focused care.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience in equipment provision and adaptations.
• Experience working within a fieldwork occupational therapy role.
• Experience using systems such as Eclipse or similar case management systems.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
