Tripod Partners are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for a locum role within North West London Social Services. This position focuses on delivering occupational therapy assessments within adult social care, supporting individuals to maintain independence and manage daily living activities safely.

The Occupational Therapist will work within a fast-paced service, completing a high volume of assessments and supporting a project that requires efficient case turnover. The role involves assessing functional needs, recommending equipment and adaptations, and providing moving and handling advice to support individuals within their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments within adult social care services.
• Manage a caseload with a focus on timely assessments and case progression.
• Assess functional needs and recommend appropriate equipment, adaptations, and interventions.
• Provide moving and handling assessments and guidance.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in line with statutory requirements.
• Support individuals to maintain independence and improve daily living outcomes.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience working within 
adult social care services. You will be confident managing a busy caseload and working 
efficiently to deliver timely assessments and outcomes.

You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and the ability to assess equipment, adaptations, and moving 
and handling needs while supporting individuals to live safely and independently.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working within adult social care (ASC).
• Experience with equipment provision, moving and handling, and adaptations.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work efficiently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Contract Length: Initially 3–4 months
• Working Pattern: Hybrid working – typically 3 days office-based or in the community
• Hours: Full-time (part-time/job share considered)
• Salary: Negotiable
