Job Details:

• Band 6 Wheelchair Therapist required to support Postural Management and Wheelchair Services.
• Provide clinical input working closely with service users, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Carry out triage and comprehensive clinical assessments including mobility, posture and pressure care.
• Prescribe, review and set up wheelchair equipment with active service user involvement.
• Manage a clinical caseload effectively using recognised outcome measures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Undertake responsibilities related to medical device management.
• Follow safeguarding procedures when working with vulnerable individuals.
• Carry out physical and postural assessments which may include bending, kneeling and crouching.
• Handle wheelchairs and equipment as part of daily clinical activity.

Skills / Experience:

• HCPC registered Therapist (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist).
• Experience in postural management and wheelchair services.
• Experience undertaking mobility and pressure care assessments.
• Ability to prescribe and review specialist wheelchair equipment.
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• ELMS2 experience for Wheelchair Services (desirable).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday between 08:00 – 16:30 (typically 08:30 start). Flexible on number of days worked.
