Job Details:
- Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist required to take a Neurodiversity Lead role.
- Lead the development and implementation of high-quality OT services for neurodivergent children and young people.
- Provide specialist clinical expertise for children with Autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences.
- Deliver advanced occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with complex and multiple needs.
- Act as a key clinical resource, providing advice and guidance to multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
- Support and upskill healthcare professionals and partner organisations in best practice for neurodiversity.
- Undertake Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) in line with statutory requirements.
- Work across health and social care settings as part of an integrated service.
- Carry out community-based work including home, nursery and other settings, often working autonomously.
- Ensure interventions are culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs of diverse populations.
Skills / Experience:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Significant experience in paediatric occupational therapy.
- Specialist knowledge of neurodiversity including Autism and ADHD.
- Experience completing EHC needs assessments.
- Experience working across community, health and social care settings.
- Ability to lead, develop services and support workforce development.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Ability to work independently in community settings.
