Job Details:
Band 7 Occupational Therapist required to start ASAP within an acute hospital setting.
Work within A&E and acute services supporting early intervention and complex discharge planning.
Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for highly vulnerable patients.
Manage a caseload including frail and elderly patients, as well as individuals with respiratory conditions and stroke.
Support safe and timely discharges from the acute site.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Skills / Experience:
HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
Experience working in acute hospital settings, ideally within A&E or similar services.
Experience in discharge planning and managing complex cases.
Knowledge of frailty, respiratory conditions and stroke rehabilitation.
Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work autonomously.
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:00 – 16:00.
