Job Title: Occupational Therapy Lead (Part Time)

Area: West Midlands Social Services

Salary: £500.00 per day (Umbrella)

Job Type: Locum

Contract Length: Ongoing (6 months initially, potential to extend)

 

Job Details:

  • Occupational Therapy Lead required for 6 months with potential extension
     

  • Hybrid working arrangement
     

  • Provide visionary leadership to drive transformation and service improvement across the OT service
     

  • Identify opportunities for innovation, implement change management strategies, and embed a culture of continuous improvement
     

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and ensure responsiveness to community needs
     

  • Champion best practice and collaborative working to ensure sustainable improvements aligned with Council objectives
     

  • Lead and manage a team of qualified Occupational Therapists and support staff, setting clear goals and expectations
     

  • Oversee delivery of comprehensive OT assessments and interventions, ensuring compliance with legislation and clinical standards
     

  • Develop, implement and monitor service improvement initiatives, policies and procedures to enhance quality, efficiency and outcomes
     

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and community organisations to ensure integrated working for adults with complex needs

 

Skills/Experience:

 

  •  
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (essential)
     

  • Previous experience in a service manager or senior leadership role with proven team management experience
     

  • Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
     

  • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to drive performance improvement
     

  • Experience relevant to the sector and commitment to ongoing professional development

 

Working Hours: 3 days per week
