Job Title: Hand Therapist – Band 6
Location: Croydon Healthcare Services – Croydon University Hospital
Area: South London NHS

Contract Length: Ongoing (6 months initially)
Job Details: Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist required for an immediate start for a 6-month placement within the Outpatient Department.
The post holder will join a vibrant and supportive team of Neurological Therapists and Occupational Therapists on site and will liaise closely with Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultants who run weekly clinics at the hospital.
Assess and treat a broad range of hand and wrist injuries and conditions
Manage trauma and elective caseloads including RA, OA, CRPS and post-operative patients
Fabricate and fit thermoplastic splints (essential)
Provide wound management as required
Work collaboratively as part of the Hand Therapy team
Manage an extensive caseload with effective time management
Essential Skills/Experience:
Hand Therapy experience at Band 6 level
Ability to fabricate thermoplastic splints
Experience managing trauma and elective patients
Knowledge of wound management
Strong organisational and clinical reasoning skills
Working Hours: Full-time preferred. 3 or 4 days per week will be considered.
