Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Part time)

Location:

1) Danestrete Clinic, Stevenage (Saturday)

2) Peace Children’s Centre, Watford (Sunday)

Salary: £390 per day

Job details:

Paediatric Occupational Therapist required to support Health and EHCP assessments. 
This role covers two sites across the weekend and can be undertaken by the same OT if willing to travel.

     

  • Provide Health OT assessments for children aged 5–18 years
     

  • Undertake functional assessments focusing on personal activities and access to the home environment
     

  • Complete initial assessments (90 minutes per child) including child scoring, goal setting, and reporting
     

  • Maximum of 2 new assessments per day
     

  • Complete referrals where required
     

  • Children requiring intervention will generally be referred to HCT Therapy Assistants
     

  • OT-led interventions may be required for some children (45–60 minutes per session plus admin)
     

  • Maximum of 6 intervention sessions per child where applicable
     

  • Prepare and distribute reports to parents, schools, GPs, and original referrers
     

  • Update Hertfordshire SystmOne with assessment outcomes, scoring, targets, and reports
     

  • Complete daily Xyla Data Capture forms for each appointment
     

  • Complete Service Delivery / Patient forms at the end of each shift

Skills/experience:

     

  • Essential: Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience

Working hours:

Saturdays and/or Sundays

08.30 – 17.00 (9-hour day)

1-hour unpaid lunch break (shorter lunch with earlier finish may be considered)
