Location: Hull City Council

Area: East Riding of Yorkshire Social Services

Salary: £35–40 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Details

 

Occupational Therapist required. JD available on request.

 

  •  
    • Provide an Occupational Therapy service enabling people to maintain or achieve optimum functional ability, resilience and independence
       

    • Allocate cases to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, monitoring performance and ensuring timely, accurate case recording
       

    • Monitor and report performance as required, undertaking joint assessments and reviews where appropriate
       

    • Use solution-focused conversations to agree goals as part of a proportionate assessment process
       

    • Contribute to or lead statutory Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews where appropriate
       

    • Deliver strengths-based, person-centred and solution-focused interventions that promote independence and wellbeing
       

    • Provide information, advice and support to help people develop self-care skills, strengthen informal support networks and access community and voluntary services
       

    • Support access to social prescribing, wellbeing services and universal services, including advice for people who self-fund their care
       

    • Provide technical expert advice, support and training to staff, supporting the development of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants
       

    • Take a senior role in complex cases, providing oversight, guidance and training to the wider team
       

    • Support newly qualified and return-to-practice Occupational Therapists, including preceptorship processes
       

    • Contribute to or lead case management processes including safeguarding, case conferences and best interest decision-making
       

    • Work collaboratively with adult social care teams and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes
       

    • Work closely with housing partners and surveyors to ensure timely delivery of adaptations, undertaking joint assessments and reviews where required
