Role Overview
A Band 6 Physiotherapist is required for an immediate start to join the Acute Therapies team. This is a full-time locum opportunity offering rotational exposure across a range of acute specialities within a busy hospital setting.
Key Duties
Work as an autonomous practitioner within Acute Therapies.
Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment across Orthopaedic, Surgical, Elderly Care and Medical wards, including ITU.
Manage acute caseloads with a focus on safe and timely discharge planning.
Deliver respiratory physiotherapy, including management of ward-based chest conditions.
Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrable acute physiotherapy experience.
Previous NHS experience desirable.
Strong experience in acute medicine and elderly care.
Essential respiratory skills to manage ward chests.
Available to start immediately or within one week’s notice.
No significant planned leave until at least March.
Working Hours
Full time
Monday to Friday, 08.15 – 16.30
