About the Role
An experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist is required to join the Adult SLT Service within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This is an autonomous community-based role delivering specialist speech and language therapy across a range of settings.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and delivery of specialist Speech & Language Therapy services within the Adult SLT team.
- Work autonomously to assess, treat and support adults with speech, language and communication needs.
- Provide SLT services within community outpatient clinics, service users’ own homes, residential homes and nursing homes.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders to demonstrate service effectiveness, including contributing to audit activity.
- Work collaboratively within the MDT, accessing appropriate professional supervision and support.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience working with adult caseloads.
- Ability to work autonomously in community settings.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning and MDT working skills.
Working Hours
- 37.5 hours per week.
