About the Role

Lewisham Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the adult inpatient therapy service. The post holder will manage a caseload across two busy acute medical wards, delivering timely, patient-centred occupational therapy to support recovery and safe discharge.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage an adult inpatient caseload across acute medical wards.
• Complete occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support functional independence.
• Contribute to discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Undertake functional assessments and recommend appropriate interventions and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.
• Work effectively within a fast-paced acute hospital environment.

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience working with adult patients in an acute hospital setting.
• Good clinical reasoning, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours

• 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
• Excluding bank holidays.
