About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Stroke and Neurology service within NELFT. This community-based role involves managing a complex caseload of adults with neurological conditions and stroke across the boroughs of Havering and Barking & Dagenham, delivering high-quality assessment and rehabilitation programmes in patients’ homes and community settings.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.
- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and deliver tailored treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
- Work across Havering and Barking & Dagenham as required, delivering care in patients’ homes and local community environments.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and person-centred care.
- Support junior staff, offering clinical guidance and contributing to their development.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with HCPC and Trust standards.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
- Experience in stroke and/or neurology (essential).
- Car driver with access to own vehicle for community visits.
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and rehabilitation planning skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within an MDT.
- Experience supporting junior staff is desirable.
Working Hours
- Shift pattern: 09:00 – 17:00.
