About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Intensive Rehab & Therapy Service within NELFT. This community-based role involves providing independent assessment, treatment and discharge planning for adults requiring rehabilitation support, working across Grays Court Community Hospital, Goodmayes Hospital and the wider community.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive assessments and deliver tailored treatment plans for patients within the community rehab service.
- Use recognised outcome measures and strong clinical reasoning to inform treatment goals and progress.
- Plan and manage your own caseload confidently, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Contribute to safe, person-centred discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Work across community, clinic and home settings to provide flexible and responsive rehabilitation support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with HCPC and NHS standards.
Requirements
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Post-qualification experience within the NHS, ideally in community and rehabilitation environments.
- Strong clinical reasoning and use of recognised outcome measures.
- Ability to independently manage a varied community caseload.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Car driver preferred due to the community nature of the role.
Working Hours
- Shift pattern between 08:30 and 16:30, Monday to Friday.
