About the Role

The London Borough of Ealing is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality OT services within Adult Social Care. Working closely with Occupational Therapists, you will assist in assessments, interventions and follow-up activities that promote independence and wellbeing for service users across the community.

Main Responsibilities

• Support Occupational Therapists with functional assessments and follow-up tasks.
• Assist in the provision, fitting and demonstration of equipment to promote safety and independence.
• Carry out home visits where required to support assessment and intervention plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with service requirements.
• Communicate effectively with service users, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to the smooth delivery of OT services within the wider Adult Social Care team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a health or social care support role is desirable.
• Ability to follow clinical guidance and work under the supervision of qualified OTs.
• Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• A positive, person-centred approach to supporting vulnerable adults.

Working Hours

• 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
