About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Therapies team at Guy’s and St Thomas’. This ongoing locum role involves delivering high-quality speech and language therapy across a range of community settings, including clinics, nurseries, schools and colleges. You’ll play a key role in supporting children and young people with a variety of communication needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessments and interventions within community environments.
- Work with children and young people presenting with complex needs, delivering tailored and evidence-based therapy.
- Collaborate with families, education staff and multidisciplinary colleagues to support communication goals.
- Contribute to EHCP processes, reports and review meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC and service standards.
- Support service development initiatives within the Community Therapies team.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children and young people, including those with complex communication needs.
- Ability to work independently across multiple community settings.
- Strong communication, organisational and clinical documentation skills.
- Experience within NHS community services is advantageous.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
