Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6 (Locum)

Location: Guy’s and St Thomas’ – Community

Area: London NHS

Rate: £Negotiable

Contract: Locum, Ongoing

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00

Role Overview

A Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist is required to join the Community Therapies service, delivering high-quality SLT services across a range of community settings including clinics, nurseries, schools and colleges.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech and language therapy interventions within community settings.
  • Manage a caseload that includes children and/or young people with complex needs.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate therapy plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, education staff and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust standards.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration (essential).
  • Experience working with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a community setting.
