  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions in line with clinical best practice.
  • Write detailed and accurate reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and multidisciplinary team assessments and reviews.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to other professionals, parents, and carers regarding children’s occupational therapy needs.
  • Support children and young people to develop functional and life skills that promote independence and participation in daily routines.
  • Contribute to the supervision and mentoring of students on placement and support workers within the service.
  • Work across a variety of settings including special schools, clinics, and community environments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Promote collaborative and inclusive working practices across education, health, and social care services.

About You

You are a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential. You bring a strong understanding of sensory, physical, and developmental needs, alongside a commitment to delivering family-centred and evidence-based interventions. You enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Requirements

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience working as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist within education, health, or social care settings.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex physical, learning, or social needs.
  • Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and multidisciplinary team working.
  • Excellent assessment, intervention, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a specialist caseload effectively.
