Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic MSK Physiotherapist (Band 6) to join the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust on a locum basis. This role covers three key NHS sites: St Marks Hospital (Maidenhead), Churchill House (Bracknell), and Upton Hospital (Slough).
As part of the MSK Outpatient Service, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse caseload of musculoskeletal conditions, helping patients achieve optimal function, reduce pain, and return to daily activities. This is an excellent opportunity to use your clinical expertise within a supportive NHS environment while developing your professional experience across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities

- Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.
- Provide hands-on interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective rehabilitation and long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, GPs, and occupational health services, to support patient outcomes.
- Advise and educate patients on injury prevention, posture, and self-management strategies to promote independence and reduce recurrence.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and NHS Trust standards.
- Participate in team meetings, service development initiatives, and continuing professional development (CPD) activities.

You are a confident and skilled Physiotherapist with a strong background in musculoskeletal practice and a patient-centred approach to care. You have excellent assessment, treatment, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a busy caseload across multiple clinic locations. Your focus on clinical excellence and collaboration ensures patients receive the highest standard of physiotherapy support.
