This locum role offers the opportunity to work within a progressive and forward-thinking service that delivers vital support to vulnerable adults across the region.

As part of the ACE team, you will play a key role in assessing needs, recommending adaptations and equipment, and enabling individuals to live safely and independently in their homes. Key Responsibilities

    • Work as part of the Stay Well@Home 2 response service, participating in a rota to provide responsive support 365 days a year.

    • Collaborate effectively with health and social care professionals to deliver coordinated and efficient interventions.

    • Provide expert advice and guidance on housing adaptations, moving and handling solutions, and assistive technology.

    • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with Council and professional standards.

    • Contribute to the continuous development of the ACE service, supporting innovation and high-quality care delivery.

    About You

You are a compassionate and proactive Occupational Therapist who enjoys working in fast-paced, community-focused environments. You bring strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and a flexible approach to meeting the diverse needs of service users. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and are committed to supporting people to live safely and independently at home.

    Requirements

    •
      • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.

      • Experience working within community adaptations and equipment services or similar settings.

      • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice relating to adult social care and housing adaptations.

      • Ability to assess needs, recommend solutions, and implement interventions that promote independence and wellbeing.

      • Willingness to participate in a 365-day rota system as part of the Stay Well@Home 2 service.

      • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
