As a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant with London Borough of Southwark Council, working in inpatient acute settings, you will support occupational therapy services for adult patients within general medicine. You will assist in conducting Best Interest Assessments (BIA) and deliver tailored support to promote patient independence and wellbeing.
Assist in conducting Best Interest Assessments to support patient care planning.
Support occupational therapists in delivering personalised intervention plans to adult inpatients.
Collaborate with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate coordinated care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with council and professional standards.
Provide practical support and guidance to patients to enhance daily living skills and occupational engagement.
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the occupational therapy team.
