Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, based at Corsebar Road, Paisley within the South Scotland NHS. This locum role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality physiotherapy services within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and optimise independence.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing a diverse caseload of patients in either inpatient or community settings, depending on service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

– Carry out detailed physiotherapy assessments to identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.  

– Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programmes to improve mobility, strength, and overall physical wellbeing.  

– Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.  

– Support patients in managing long-term conditions, preventing hospital admissions, and facilitating safe discharges.  

– Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS and HCPC standards.  

– Contribute to ongoing service development and quality improvement initiatives.  

– Provide advice, education, and support to patients, carers, and families to encourage independence and self-management.  

About You

You’ll be a compassionate and proactive Physiotherapist with post-qualification NHS experience. You’ll demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.  

You’ll thrive working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, bringing a patient-centred approach and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.

Requirements

– Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy  

– Current HCPC registration  

– Post-qualification NHS experience (essential)  

– Experience in community or inpatient rehabilitation (desirable)  

– Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and communication skills  

– Ability to work independently and as part of a wider healthcare team  

Contract & Salary

– Contract type: Locum  

– Contract length: Ongoing  

– Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (may vary)  

– Location: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde – Corsebar Road, Paisley (South Scotland NHS)  

– Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
