Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Intensive Rehab & Therapy Service at NELFT (North East London NHS Foundation Trust), based across Grays Court Community Hospital and Goodmayes Hospital. This locum role supports the service during winter pressures, providing high-quality physiotherapy care to patients in the community rehabilitation team.  

 

You’ll work independently to assess, treat, and plan the discharge of patients, using sound clinical reasoning and outcome measures to guide evidence-based interventions and help individuals regain function and independence.

 

Key Responsibilities

– Undertake independent physiotherapy assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.  

– Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation interventions within the community and inpatient rehabilitation settings.  

– Use recognised outcome measures and clinical reasoning to guide patient care and evaluate progress.  

– Lead on discharge planning, ensuring safe and timely transitions of care.  

– Confidently manage and prioritise your own caseload in a dynamic community environment.  

– Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.  

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with NHS and HCPC standards.  

– Contribute to service improvement and support agile working within the rehabilitation team.  

 

About You

You’ll be a skilled and proactive Physiotherapist with post-qualification NHS experience, ideally within community or rehabilitation settings. You’ll bring excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills, along with the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multid
