Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust (NDDH) is seeking experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join the acute therapy team. Working across musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, general medicine, and rehabilitation wards, this role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The successful candidates will demonstrate clinical expertise, autonomous decision-making, and a commitment to effective multidisciplinary working.
Deliver specialised occupational therapy assessments and interventions within acute hospital settings.
Manage a varied caseload including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal conditions, general medical, and rehabilitation patients.
Develop and implement individualised treatment and discharge plans that promote recovery and independence.
Liaise effectively with patients, families, and the wider MDT to support timely and safe discharge.
Contribute to service development, supervision of junior staff, and support of student placements.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with HCPC and Trust standards.
