North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join its Community Neurology Team. This specialist role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to adults with neurological conditions in community settings. The successful candidate will be confident in undertaking complex assessments, supporting rehabilitation, and contributing to Best Interest Assessments (BIA) where appropriate.
Carry out comprehensive, person-centred assessments for adults with neurological conditions in the community.
Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation and intervention plans to maximise independence and function.
Participate in Best Interest Assessments (BIA), applying knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding principles.
Work closely with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and effective care.
Advise on and prescribe specialist equipment to support mobility, function, and safety at home.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC and NHS documentation standards.
