Job Title: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist – Band 7 Location: Croydon Health Services NHS Trust Area: South London NHS Salary: Negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract Length: 12 months (ASAP start)
Role Overview:
An experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist is required to join Croydon Health Services for a 12-month locum post. The role focuses on working with children who have physical disabilities and those requiring Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning for children with speech, language, communication, and eating & drinking difficulties.
Work within the Special Needs Team to provide an effective, coordinated Speech and Language Therapy service.
Lead on AAC policy development within paediatric SLT across the Borough.
Provide specialist support within a school for children with physical disabilities and across the wider paediatric SLT service.
Supervise and support Band 5, Band 6 and Band 7 SLTs.
Requirements:
Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC and RCSLT registration.
Significant post-qualification experience in paediatrics, with expertise in AAC and physical disabilities.
Strong leadership, teamworking, and service development skills.
