Job Details:
Solihull Borough Council requires an Occupational Therapist with management experience to cover the Team Manager role within their Social Services. This position involves leading a diverse team of OT practitioners across community, housing, early intervention, and children’s services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team including Community OTs, Early Intervention OTs, Housing OTs, and a small number of Children’s OTs.

• Supervise and support three Assistant Team Managers.

• Report to the Head of Service (also an OT).

• Ensure the team operates within social care legislation and professional OT standards.

• Oversee use of equipment, major adaptations, and moving & handling practices.

• Promote high-quality, safe, and effective OT service delivery across the borough.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Qualified Occupational Therapist, HCPC registered.

• Substantial experience in social care OT.

• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, equipment, adaptations, and moving & handling practices.

• Experience managing teams of practitioners with differing levels of expertise.

• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Working Hours: Not specified; standard full-time expected for managerial OT role.
