Job Details:
Wolverhampton City Council is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care team. The postholder will provide assessment, intervention, and support for adults requiring aids and adaptations to maximise independence and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out assessments and recommend appropriate aids and adaptations to support adults with functional needs.
Prescribe and plan for major adaptations in line with legislative frameworks and council policies.
Provide specialist advice on equipment provision, housing adaptations, and environmental modifications.
Work collaboratively with service users, carers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure effective delivery of services.
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service development.
Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience in Adult Social Care.
Demonstrable experience with aids, equipment, and major adaptations (essential).
Strong assessment and prescribing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours:
Full-time – 37 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
