Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a qualified and experienced Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join the adult inpatient and community teams. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for adults with communication, swallowing, and general medical needs across acute and community settings.

  • Carry out assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) difficulties.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person-centred care and effective discharge planning.

  • Support patients with a range of general medical and acute conditions through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, care pathways, and therapy programmes.

  • Participate in clinical supervision, training, and mentorship for students and less experienced staff.

  • Engage in professional development, reflective practice, and quality improvement activities to maintain high standards of care.
