North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) is looking for a motivated Physiotherapy Assistant to support the physiotherapy team in delivering effective rehabilitation services. This role involves assisting with the provision and management of equipment and adaptations to aid patient recovery and independence within community settings. You will work closely with physiotherapists to help optimise patient outcomes through practical support and hands-on assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the assessment, preparation, and fitting of mobility aids, postural support equipment, and home adaptations under the guidance of physiotherapists.
Support patients in the safe use and maintenance of equipment to enhance their functional abilities and independence.
Help set up and facilitate therapeutic activities and exercise programmes prescribed by physiotherapists.
Maintain accurate records of equipment provision, usage, and any necessary repairs or replacements.
Collaborate with patients, families, and the wider therapy team to ensure effective communication and coordinated care.
Contribute to the organisation and upkeep of equipment stores, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
