Ealing Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to ensure the welfare and rights of children in care are effectively safeguarded. This role involves chairing review meetings, monitoring care plans, and advocating for the best interests of looked-after children.
Key Responsibilities:
Chair statutory review meetings for looked-after children to ensure care plans meet their needs.
Monitor and track progress of care plans and ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
Advocate for children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Liaise with social workers, carers, families, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes.
Maintain detailed records and produce reports to support safeguarding and quality assurance.
