Croydon Council is seeking caring, motivated individuals to work as Children’s Support Workers within our Children’s Services teams. This unqualified role involves working directly with children and young people who may be in care, at risk of family breakdown, or involved in support programmes. You will help create safe, stable, and nurturing environments, while supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support, structure, and encouragement to children and adolescents in care or in edge-of-care situations.
Assist with routines such as school attendance, activities, meal preparation, and emotional regulation.
Build trusting relationships to support children’s development, resilience, and well-being.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, keeping records and reporting concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
