Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Band 6 Area: Surrey NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Adults. Car driver essential. Seeing patients with a Sutton GP, both in their own home, care homes & in the community as required. Assessment & treatment / intervention of adult patients with Neurological conditions and / or acquired communication and swallow difficulties in the community setting. Skills/experience – essential: the candidate must have good experience working with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis & progressive conditions. The candidate must have experience in the management of dysphagia and be dysphagia trained & work autonomously. The candidate will need experience in rehabilitation and the management of long term conditions. Community experience. Experience working with adults and older adults. MDT working. Ability to complete community visits around the borough of Sutton, South West London. Desirable: Car driver & car that can use for this post. EMIS trained and have an NHS SMART card. Mileage can be claimed; no parking permits are available. Working hours: 37.5 hours (5 days) per week. Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. 7.5 hours a day with 30 min unpaid lunch.
