Job Title: Senior Section 136 Link Nurse

Location: Bodmin HBPoS/136 Suite, Cornwall
Salary: Band 6 (NHSE capped rates)
Pay Rates:

• £26.50 per hour for weekdays
• £32.00 per hour for Saturdays
• £38.00 per hour for Sundays
  Contract: Temporary, Full-time, Long Day Only (opportunity for extra shifts)
  Hours: Shifts as required, including long days

Join our Mental Health Directorate at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Section 136 Link Nurse. You will manage the Section 136 Suite at Bodmin, providing a place of safety for individuals brought in by the police. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the suite is a least restrictive option, while performing both inpatient nursing duties and being a named nurse for the 136 suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight: Lead and supervise junior staff in the Section 136 Suite, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Risk Management: Oversee risk assessments and manage incidents of challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques.
• Collaboration: Work alongside police, social care, and healthcare providers to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
• Supervision: Provide clinical and operational supervision to junior staff and support student nurses.
