Theatre Nurse – Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery & More – Bournemouth

Position: Theatre Nurse (Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating)

Location: Bournemouth

Pay Rates:

  • Weekday: £26 per hour
  • Nights & Saturdays: £32 per hour
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40 per hour

Contract Length: Full-time, minimum 3 months (potential for extension)


Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Theatre Nurses to join a high-performing surgical team in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for Scrub Nurses, Anaesthetic Nurses, Recovery Nurses, Circulating Nurses, and Surgical First Assistants who are looking to enhance their career in a fast-paced and rewarding theatre environment. Key Responsibilities:

? Scrub Nurse – Support surgeons during operations, ensuring all surgical instruments are correctly prepared and handled.
? Anaesthetic Nurse – Assist with pre-operative patient preparation and provide vital anaesthetic care during procedures.
? Recovery Nurse – Monitor and manage patients as they wake from anaesthesia, providing post-operative care.
? Circulating Nurse – Maintain an efficient and sterile theatre environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
? Surgical First Assistant – Work alongside the surgical team, providing direct assistance in complex procedures.
? Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
? Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care.


Requirements:

? NMC Registration (or HCPC for ODPs)
? Minimum of 12 months experience working in a theatre setting
? Competence in at least one of the following: Scrub, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Circulating, or First Assistance
? Strong understanding of perioperative protocols, patient safety, and surgical procedures
? Flexibility to work across days, nights, and weekends
