ICU Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Tripod Partners are seeking experienced ICU Nurses to support the Intensive Care Unit in Poole. This is a full-time position, requiring 7-day availability for a minimum 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-dependency nursing care for critically ill patients requiring ventilatory or circulatory support.
• Conduct continuous patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and responding to rapid changes in condition.
• Administer specialist treatments, including advanced pain management, sedation, and critical care medications.
• Work closely with consultants, respiratory therapists, and physiotherapists to provide holistic patient care.
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors.
• Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention protocols and ICU best practices.

Position Details:

• Location: Poole
• Work Pattern: Full-time, 7 days a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends)
• Contract Length: 3 months minimum
• Rates:
  • Weekday: £26.00 per hour
  • Nights & Saturdays: £32.00 per hour
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.00 per hour
• Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration.
• Previous experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care setting.
• Expertise in emergency response, ventilation support, and fluid resuscitation.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills under high-pressure environments.
