About the Role:
As a Primary Care Nurse in a prison setting, you will be delivering high-quality healthcare services to residents, working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a wide range of clinical care. This role offers variety, professional development, and the chance to make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering primary healthcare services, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
Providing health education and promoting wellbeing among residents.
Managing minor injuries, long-term conditions, and acute medical situations.
Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and prison staff to ensure patient safety and care continuity.
Requirements:
Valid NMC registration (Adult or Mental Health Nurse).
Previous experience in primary care, custodial healthcare, A&E, or similar settings is advantageous.
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work under pressure.
