As a Speech and Language Therapist with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, working across inpatient, community and acute settings, you will provide specialist assessment and intervention for patients with dysphagia and rehabilitation needs. Operating at Band 6, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored therapy that supports recovery and improves quality of life.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication and swallowing needs, with a focus on dysphagia.
Develop, implement and evaluate personalised therapy programmes based on clinical priorities and best practice.
Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support.
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records in accordance with NHS and professional standards.
Provide training, advice and support to patients, carers and colleagues on communication strategies and safe swallowing.
Contribute to service development, leadership and quality improvement initiatives within the speech and language therapy service.
