Job Title: Specialist Physiotherapist – Band 6 Location: Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust – Whalley Drive, Milton Keynes Area: Buckinghamshire NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract length: Ongoing Job details: Physiotherapist required for 8 weeks. Home 1st Therapy – Community Health Services. JD available on request: • To provide advanced assessment of patients who are at risk of falling or who have fallen, to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes. • To undertake telephone triage, multi-factorial assessments, equipment and other therapeutic input as part of the Multidisciplinary Team. • To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and case conferences. Access to advice and support from a Senior HCP is available when required, clinical work is not regularly evaluated. • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. • To undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team’s clinical practice. Make recommendations to Clinical/Lead Manager of service for changes to practice by the team. May lead the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
